Summer term begins

Whilst waiting for signs of spring the children have been happy to be outdoors preparing the vegetable beds, helping with the gardening, enjoying going for walks and looking at the bulbs and buds appearing. We have had lots of donation from parents of bird seed, a new bird feeding station and bird box so the children have continued to watch the birds in the garden. There’s been lots of activity with Blue Tits and Great Tits starting to make a nest in the bird box and we’re helping the children to keep a diary log of their observations.

Concentrating of healthy eating and the importance of exercise we have been lucky to have Ruth in from Hereford’s Dynamix Dance for the last few months teaching the children some new moves and how to have fun whilst keeping fit.

Earlier this month the preschool celebrated World Book Day with dressing up and lots of activities to encourage looking at books.

Preschool is a registered charity and we very much appreciate the community’s support in attending our fundraising events. Our Bingo nights are popular and  the next one will be held at Ashburton Village Hall on Wednesday 24th April. The next one, 14th May will be held at Burley Gate Village Hall.

Thank you to all that have supported/attended the Macmillan fundraising coffee morning. So far £500.82 has been raised.

Numbers attending sessions at Preschool are rising and enquiries are already coming in for September. If you would like to enrol your child please contact the preschool on 01432 820425.

Here’s a date for your diary – we are holding a Fashion Show on Saturday 18th May, 7Pm at Burley Gate Village Hall. Tickets are on sale now.
